Job summary

Belay Technologies, a Baltimore-area cloud and DoD-focused contractor, seeks a Cloud Software Engineer to build and enhance large-scale cloud data systems. You’ll contribute to backend processing, analysis, and indexing while applying Java, C/C++, and JavaScript in a modern cloud environment.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years as software engineers, TS/SCI with poly, and experience with Windows/Linux, OO design, and complex project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with SWE background; 4 years additional experience may substitute.
• Shall have 8+ years as Software Engineer in development/engineering.
• 6+ years with Java, C, C++, JavaScript.
• 3+ years developing for Windows/UNIX/Linux/CentOS.
• Experience in OO design and complex systems.
• Ability to guide junior programmers/analysts.
• Strong technical writing and documentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex Big-Data Cloud systems.
• Contribute to all stages of backend processing, analysis, and indexing.
• Review and test software components and document results.
