Job summary

KBR is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to design, build, and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS. You will work with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Knative and Helm to deliver scalable, resilient systems and modern DevOps practices.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, GitLab and Argo CD, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive secure, observable, and high-performing software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with AWS cloud services.
• Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Knative and Helm.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps/GitOps tools including GitLab and Argo CD.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Build and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Implement serverless and event-driven architectures using Knative.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and GitOps practices with Argo CD.
• Package and deploy applications using Helm charts for Kubernetes environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable software solutions.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability in cloud environments.
• Ensure adherence to security, monitoring, and observability best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across distributed systems and microservices.
