Job summary

PTC is seeking an IT Help Desk professional to support Linux and Windows environments, manage ticketing cases, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in IT help desk, familiarity with cloud tools, and basic Linux/Oracle skills. Some afterhours work may be required; US-based authorization is required. Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
  • Must have or be able to obtain Security level clearance.
  • 2+ years working in an IT Help Desk type environment.
  • Understanding of Cloud technology.
  • Basic command line Linux skills and Oracle skills.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize issues of varying severity and manage resolution/escalation within service levels.
  • Application configuration and implementation with a heavy focus on Linux.
  • Manage cases efficiently within our ticketing system.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Update managers on ticket status as required.
  • Work with Cloud tools such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, Zabbix, and VMware.
  • Support Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Be available to work occasional nights and weekends for afterhours maintenance.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize issues of varying severity, and effectively manage the resolution or escalation of all issues within accepted service levels.
  • Application configuration and implementation with a heavy focus on Linux.
  • Manage cases efficiently within our ticketing system.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Update managers and management team on ticket status as required.
  • Includes working with Cloud tools such as Apache, Tomcat, Zabbix, ServiceNow, Salesforce, SALT, SQLDeveloper, Apache Directory Studio, and VMWare.
  • Operating systems include Linux and Windows
  • Must be available to work occasional nights and weekends to support afterhours configuration changes and scheduled monthly maintenance activities.

PTC carefully considers a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $55,000 - $65,000. The anticipated annual salary range encompasses both the base salary and the on-target incentive compensation that may be attained in this role. The salary range reflects a good‑faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.

Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Eligible employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP) which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
