Job summary

PTC is seeking a technical analyst to prioritize and resolve IT incidents with a strong Linux focus. You will configure applications, manage tickets, and coordinate with internal teams to keep customers informed.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in an IT Help Desk environment, basic Linux commands, and familiarity with Oracle. The role requires US work authorization and offers broad benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
• Security clearance or ability to obtain one is required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize issues by severity and manage resolution/escalation within SLAs.
• Configure and implement applications with a focus on Linux environments.
• Manage cases in the ticketing system and communicate with customers.
• Update managers on ticket status and coordinate with internal teams.
• Work with cloud tools and various software stacks including Linux/Windows servers.

Major Responsibilities:

• Prioritize issues of varying severity, and effectively manage the resolution or escalation of all issues within accepted service levels.
• Application configuration and implementation with a heavy focus on Linux.
• Manage cases efficiently within our ticketing system.
• Facilitate communication between customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Update managers and management team on ticket status as required.
• Includes working with Cloud tools such as Apache, Tomcat, Zabbix, ServiceNow, Salesforce, SALT, SQLDeveloper, Apache Directory Studio, and VMWare.
• Operating systems include Linux and Windows
• Must be available to work occasional nights and weekends to support afterhours configuration changes and scheduled monthly maintenance activities.

Preferred background:

• 2+ years working in an IT Help Desk type environment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
• Must have or be able to obtain Security level clearance.

PTC carefully considers a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $55,000 - $65,000. The anticipated annual salary range encompasses both the base salary and the on-target incentive compensation that may be attained in this role. The salary range reflects a good‑faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.

Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Eligible employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP) which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
