Job summary

Replit seeks a Cloud Security Lead to own and mature the security program across GCP, AWS, and Azure, with emphasis on securing multi‑cloud workloads, containerized environments, and AI‑driven infrastructure.

You’ll partner with engineering, compliance, and platform teams to build secure‑by‑default development practices, govern SaaS platforms, and guide incident response for cloud security events. This is a hands‑on leadership role based in Foster City, CA.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cloud engineering with lead experience.
• Hands-on CSPM tooling experience.
• Deep GCP security expertise (IAM, VPC, KMS, GKE, Cloud Logging).
• Experience securing SaaS platforms and identity integrations.
• Vulnerability management across cloud, containers, and platform services.
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure security services.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud security engineering across GCP (primary) with AWS/Azure oversight.
• Own and optimize CSPM platforms across multi‑cloud environments and establish baselines, guardrails, remediation workflows.
• Secure critical SaaS platforms with proper configurations and access controls.
• Lead infrastructure vulnerability management across multi‑cloud systems, containers, registries, and platform services.
• Enhance security for containerized workloads and Kubernetes (GKE/EKS/AKS), including runtime protections and workload identity.
• Assess secure logging configurations across cloud/SaaS providers and ensure audit logs and retention meet architecture needs.
• Partner with engineering to embed security by default in CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.
• Collaborate with Security Monitoring, Compliance/GRC, Architecture, DevOps, Platform Engineering, and ML Infrastructure.
