Job summary

Workstreet is seeking a Manager, Cloud Security Engineering to lead a team responsible for designing, building, and operating cloud security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP. This player-coach role requires hands-on leadership, architectural review, and direct client engagement to deliver drift-resistant, code-defined security.

Qualifications

• Proven track record hiring, coaching, and retaining engineers.
• Hands-on expertise securing AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Experience mapping technical cloud configurations to regulatory requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team: manage, coach, and grow Cloud Security Engineers with clear expectations and career paths.
• Hire and onboard: design interview process, recruit engineers, and onboard them for rapid ownership of client work.
• Own delivery across the client portfolio: plan capacity, assign engineers, track milestones, and ensure quality across engagements.
• Serve as the escalation point: handle technical and relationship escalations with clients and executives.
• Set engineering standards: define reusable baselines (Terraform, CloudFormation), landing zones, IAM, and logging modules.
• Guide cloud architecture decisions: review multi-account designs, security controls, encryption, and least- privilege IAM.
• Direct native security tooling: deploy and tune GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, and Defender for Cloud; manage SIEM pipelines.
• Embed security in delivery pipelines: establish guardrails and automated remediation (SAST, DAST, secret scanning).
• Translate frameworks into functional controls: align cloud configurations with SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST 800-53/171, and FedRAMP.
• Oversee incident response: escalate, contain, diagnose, and improve post-incident processes.
• Collaborate with GRC and Security Services: align scoping, SOWs, and new opportunities.
• Continuously improve the practice: track delivery health, remediation cycles, and tooling automation.
• Stay hands-on in architecture reviews and complex remediations to maintain credibility.
