Collectors Universe, Inc. is seeking a senior security operations professional to lead detection engineering and incident response across cloud and on-prem environments.

You will own detection development, triage incidents, and drive continuous improvements in security tooling and automation. The role emphasizes hands-on AWS security, SIEM expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen defenses while supporting our remote-enabled workforce.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security operations, incident response, or detection engineering.
• 2+ years operating in a cloud-native environment at a senior level.
• Hands-on experience securing AWS at scale in a multi-account org.
• Strong SIEM proficiency with complex queries and log pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Drive detection engineering across cloud platforms and enterprise tooling; treat detections as code.
• Serve as senior responder for security incidents; drive triage, containment, and forensics.
• Conduct proactive threat hunts across cloud, SaaS, identity, and on-prem infra.
• Design automation and SOAR playbooks to reduce manual toil and accelerate response.
• Own and improve the health of the security data pipeline and data quality.
• Scale security efforts by automating vulnerability identification and remediation.
• Lead by example and champion company policies including safety and security.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation and improve runbooks and escalation paths.
