Job summary

Accenture Federal Services in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to design and implement cloud security controls, tooling, and RMF support, onsite at our Huntsville facility.

Responsibilities include IAM, encryption, SIEM, vulnerability management, security automation with Ansible/Terraform, and contributing to RMF artifacts; DoD 8570 IASAE II certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience implementing NIST 800-53 controls and the RMF, including at least 1 year hands-on administration of security tooling such as Splunk, Nessus/ACAS.
• 2+ years of experience with virtualization or cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
• DoD 8570 IASAE Level II certification (e.g., CISSP, CASP+) or DoD 8140 equivalent.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls for cloud-based systems, including IAM, encryption, and network security.
• Engineer and administer security tooling for risk visibility (Splunk SIEM and vulnerability management).
• Build security-as-code automation to deploy tooling using Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Support RMF authorization activities (SSP, STCM, POA&Ms, Risk Assessment Reports).
• Develop and tune incident detection and telemetry for incident response.
