Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer II to secure cloud and hybrid environments, focusing on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and incident response. The role emphasizes cloud security baselines, vulnerability management, and identity controls within private, public, and hybrid systems.

Formación

• 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity/security engineering experience.
• Strong Microsoft Azure security experience with Defender for Cloud.
• Experience with Sentinel or comparable SIEM platforms.
• Knowledge of RBAC, Conditional Access, vulnerability management, EDR, and incident response.
• Understanding of Windows/Linux, networking, and Microsoft 365 security.
• Healthcare/regulated industry experience and security certifications are a plus.

Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer II to support security across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid environments. This role will focus on cloud security, monitoring, vulnerability management, identity/access controls, and incident response.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure security controls, and cloud security baselines
• Support Azure RBAC, Conditional Access, privileged access, and identity/security controls
• Monitor security alerts and logs using Microsoft Sentinel or comparable SIEM platforms
• Investigate security alerts and participate in incident response, threat detection, and remediation
• Support vulnerability management, scanning, remediation tracking, and security patch coordination
• Manage and monitor security technologies including EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools
• Strengthen security across Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows/Linux, and hybrid environmentsAssist with security reviews for applications, systems, cloud workloads, and third-party solutions
• Support security auditing, compliance reporting, and documentation
• Partner with technical teams to communicate security risks and recommend appropriate remediation

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity/security engineering experience

• Experience with Defender for Cloud and Sentinel or comparable SIEM

Important: This is a hands-on engineering role, not primarily GRC. Candidates should be able to discuss security controls they’ve personally configured, alerts/incidents investigated, and vulnerabilities remediated.
