Job summary

RVO Health is seeking a Security Engineer to join the Security team in Denver. You will design and implement security controls for our cloud environment, enhance vulnerability management, and enforce secure software supply chain practices across the.dev toolchain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years in application security, cloud security, or related cybersecurity role.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles, architectures, and services (AWS or Azure preferred).
• Hands-on experience with cloud security posture management or CNAPP tooling (e.g., Wiz, Orca, Prisma Cloud).
• Experience building security automation, tooling, and integrations, with scripting or programming proficiency.
• Working knowledge of secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST CSF, HIPAA, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Experience in incident response and security testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud infrastructure, apps, and data.
• Improve cloud security posture and manage vulnerability findings with engineering teams.
• Enforce software supply chain controls across the developer toolchain and CI/CD pipelines.
• Extend security into CI/CD, including governance of AI-authored code.
• Develop automation and integrations to make security self-service.
• Collaborate with Platform & Software Engineering to address security issues.
• Perform security assessments, code reviews, and testing to identify and mitigate risk.
• Participate in weekly on-call rotation for managed detection and response.
• Develop and maintain security SOPs and policies in line with industry standards.
• Stay informed on healthcare-specific threats and adapt tooling accordingly.
