Job summary

RVO Health is a health-technology company seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen cloud security posture and risk management. You will design controls, automate tooling, and partner with engineering to reduce exposure across our cloud-native platform.

Join a collaborative Agile team responsible for safeguarding patient data in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with CNAPP tools and HIPAA considerations is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in application security, cloud security, or a related cybersecurity role.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles, architectures, and services (AWS or Azure preferred).
• Hands-on experience with cloud security posture management or CNAPP tooling (e.g., Wiz, Orca, Prisma Cloud).
• Experience building security automation, tooling, and integrations, with working proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST CSF, HIPAA, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in incident response and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls protecting cloud infrastructure and data.
• Improve cloud security posture and manage vulnerability findings with engineering teams.
• Build and enforce software supply chain controls across the developer toolchain.
• Extend security into CI/CD pipelines and govern AI-authored code.
• Develop automation, tooling, and integrations for self-service security.
• Collaborate with Platform & Software Engineering to address security issues.
• Perform security assessments, code reviews, and application security testing.
• Participate in weekly on-call rotation for MDR / SOC escalations.
• Develop and maintain security SOPs and policies per industry standards (HIPAA, NIST).
• Stay informed on threats and adapt strategy accordingly.
