Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer specializing in cryptography for an onsite Plano, TX role. This 18-month contract focuses on designing secure, cryptography-driven cloud solutions, enabling regulated data protection and governance across enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate will bring 4+ years in cybersecurity with cryptography, cloud-native tech, and HSM/certificate management experience, and will collaborate with multiple engineering teams to implement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 4 years of cybersecurity experience.
• At least 2 years of cryptography experience.
• At least 2 years of cloud-native technologies experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• At least 2 years of Unix/Linux administration experience.
• At least 2 years with HSMs (Futurex/Thales).
• At least 2 years with certificate lifecycle platforms (Venafi/DigiCert).
• At least 2 years with Vault or similar secrets-management solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to cryptography and cloud platform projects.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and developers to deliver secure cloud solutions.
• Assess risks related to data confidentiality and integrity and cryptographic threats.
• Design and implement encryption, hashing, and digital-signature solutions.
• Manage keys securely and integrate cryptographic services into applications.
• Support hardware security modules and certificate-management platforms.
• Develop and maintain cryptographic governance policies and controls.
• Promote compliance and auditability of cryptographic standards.
