Job summary

The State of North Carolina's DHHS IT division seeks an IT Security & Compliance Specialist II to consult on security planning and cloud governance across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Salesforce. You will guide security design, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cloud solutions, and produce documentation to strengthen cloud security posture.

Hybrid work is supported with onsite reporting in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related IT field with two years of progressive IT security experience.
Associate degree in computer science or related IT field with three years of progressive IT security experience.
Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

Consult in security planning, management, monitoring and support multiple cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP, Salesforce).
Provide consulting on security design, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cloud solutions.
Create detailed technical documentation to support cloud security across environments.
Aid in developing privacy and security policies, procedures, and reference documents.
Serve as SME to projects by guiding security best practices.
Conduct security assessments and compliance checks on cloud solutions and environments.
Work with vendors and third-party service providers to meet security requirements.
Participate in status meetings with IT leadership and stakeholders regarding cloud security posture.
Create a cloud-based security platform to monitor/analyze data from multiple sources to identify threats.
Develop/implement a strategy for detecting anomalous behavior in ML cloud environments.
