Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a seasoned Cloud Security Architect to define architecture and the technical direction for CSPM tooling, automation platforms, and integration frameworks at org scale. You will shape data models, API contracts, and event-driven pipelines with a focus on security findings flow and remediation.

You will lead cross-functional design reviews, collaborate with Platform, DevOps, SRE, and security teams, and mentor engineers while walking the roadmap for AI-assisted security

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years related work experience required, with two years experience in cloud security preferred.
• Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Go or TypeScript - production-grade, not just scripting.
• Strong background in distributed systems concepts: event-driven architectures, async processing, API design, observability.
• Hands-on experience across at least one of: AWS, GCP, Azure at org-wide scale.

Responsibilities

• Defines and owns the technical architecture for CSPM tooling and integration frameworks at scale.
• Designs system-level patterns for data flow from detection to remediation.
• Drives architectural decisions on platform extensibility and data ownership.
• Architects auto-remediation and shift-left systems with fault tolerance and auditability.
• Evaluates tooling and sets technical standards for CSPM connections to enterprise infra.
