Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Container Security Engineer to support the migration to CWPP tooling and secure container workloads across multi-cloud environments. The role focuses on implementing container security, CI/CD integration, and automation to protect cloud-native platforms on Google Cloud.

This contract position is remote with a hybrid setup in Remote, OR, offering pay of $85.00–$95.00/hr and benefits as described by TEKsystems.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing, implementing, and operating container security solutions.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with CWPP (AquaSec, Prisma Cloud, Wiz, or similar).
  • Knowledge of writing run books for security events.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container security in cloud environments.
  • Scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation.

Job Description

The team is harnessing the cloud and leveraging containers and orchestration solutions now more than ever. We're looking for a Container Security Engineer to help us as we migrate Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP).

As a Container Security Engineer, you will implement and secure industry-leading container technologies, assist with the migration, customization and operationalization of AquaSec to meet the security team needs and take advantage of additional cloud security products.

The Engineer will apply specialized knowledge of container security and orchestration to develop security solutions in multi-cloud environments and protect data across clouds and platforms. You'll work on a dynamic, cross-functional team and employ automation and cybersecurity best practices in Google Kubernetes. You'll also coordinate with architecture, developers, DevOps and industry leading vendors to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate the teams goals and objectives to a plan that will enable secure and effective cloud-hosted solution powered by Google. You'll have the chance to work within a secure environment to create and manage cloud native solutions on Google Cloud to provide to you the opportunity to explore different ways of solving our organizational problems.

You'll partner with stakeholders and the cloud security team to deliver the right technical solution(s). With mentoring, challenging hands-on problem-solving, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to provide the best solutions.

Requirements
  • Experience with containers, orchestration solutions, and cloud managed Kubernetes services such as Google Kubernetes Engine
  • Experience designing, implementing, and operating container security solutions
  • Experience using, managing, and securing continuous integration and continuous delivery ( CI / CD ) pipeline solutions using GitHub Actions / Workflows
  • Experience with IaaC concepts and tools, including Terraform, Ansible.
  • Work experience coding IaaC solutions, coding to operationalize controls through API's
  • Experience with the CWPP (AquaSec, Prisma Cloud, Wiz, or similar)
  • Experience with scripting languages to automate tasks such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell, and configuration automation tools, including Ansible, Salt Stack and Puppet
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including threats, vulnerabilities, security operations, encryption, boundary defense, auditing, authentication, and supply chain risk management
  • Knowledge of secure configuration guidelines, including DoD STIGs and CIS benchmarks
  • Knowledge of NIST guidelines for container security
  • Experience drafting security playbooks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $95.00/hr.
