Smartronix is seeking a Cloud Security Operations Analyst to join our Security Operations team in a remote capacity supporting our Herndon, VA-based operations. You will help evaluate cybersecurity postures, develop security monitoring solutions, detect and mitigate threats, and leverage advanced tools to ensure timely delivery of managed security services.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years of cybersecurity or cloud experience, preferably in an SOC environment.
• Proficiency with Unix, Linux, or Windows operating systems and command line interfaces.
• Experience with endpoint security tools and security incident response, analysis, and handling.
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, infrastructure, and security technologies.
• Ability to analyze emerging cyber threats and apply relevant countermeasures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with cross-team collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate efforts within small teams.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and service-oriented mindset.
• Preferred: cloud or virtualization technologies experience.
• Preferred: scripting languages experience.
• Preferred: CISSP, CEH, CASP or equivalent certifications.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust and DoD security clearance.

About The Role

We are seeking a Cloud Security Operations Analyst to join our Security Operations team in a remote capacity supporting our Herndon, Virginia-based operations. This role is integral to managing the security services of our customers’ cloud-based infrastructures. The successful candidate will assist in evaluating cybersecurity postures, developing security monitoring solutions, and detecting and mitigating emerging threats. The Cloud Security Operations Analyst will leverage advanced security tools to ensure the quality and timely delivery of managed security services, contributing to the protection of customer data and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; additional years of experience may substitute for degree requirements


• Minimum of 2 years of cybersecurity or cloud experience, preferably within a Security Operations Center environment


• Proficiency with Unix, Linux, or Windows operating systems and command line interfaces


• Experience with endpoint security tools and security incident response, analysis, and handling


• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, infrastructure, and security technologies


• Ability to analyze emerging cyber threats and apply relevant countermeasures


• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical teams and customer stakeholders
