Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Cloud Security Analyst (AI Training) for an hourly contract. You will analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure, identify risks, and review IAM, networking, storage, and container security issues in production environments.

You will classify gaps, misconfigurations, and cloud-related failures, then help refine AI-generated security reasoning to reflect real-world cloud incidents. This is a remote, flexible, contract role with 10–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on cloud experience in production.
• Solid understanding of IAM, networking, storage, and container security.
• Experience with real-world misconfigurations and security incidents.
• Ability to reason about blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact.
• Strong written communication skills for documenting findings and feedback.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks and failure patterns
• Review and evaluate IAM, networking, storage, and container security issues
• Classify security gaps, misconfigurations, and cloud-related failures based on real-world impact
• Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning so it accurately reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold
• Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves AI security capabilities

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience working with cloud environments in production
• Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security concepts
• Experienced with real‑world misconfigurations and security incidents
• Able to reason clearly about blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact
• Strong written communication skills for documenting findings and feedback
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently on task‑based assignments

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud security tooling (GuardDuty, Security Command Center, Defender for Cloud, etc.)
• Background in penetration testing, red teaming, or incident response
• Familiarity with frameworks like CIS Benchmarks, NIST, or CSA CCM
• Prior experience with AI evaluation or data annotation workflows
