Job summary

Annapurna Labs (U.S.) Inc. in Cupertino, CA is seeking a hardware design specialist to shape and optimize CAD flows and physical design methodologies. You will develop cloud infrastructure to support design work and tackle RTL2GDS efficiency improvements for better PPA and speed.

The role requires strong scripting skills (TCL/Perl/Python), hands-on PD tool experience (Innovus, ICC2, FusionCompiler), and collaboration with RTL, Packaging, and DFT teams. AWS benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in developing design methodology or CAD flows for synthesis, PNR, or sign-off in advanced tech nodes.
• Production scripting in TCL, Perl, or Python for implementation workflows.
• Solid understanding of ASIC physical design, flows, and methodologies (synthesis, place and route, STA, formal verification).
• Proven track record delivering metric-driven PPA flow development and support.

Responsibilities

• Create and support innovative physical design methodology and CAD flows.
• Develop cloud infrastructure to support physical design work.
• Drive improvement in RTL2GDS flows/methodology for PPA and TAT improvement.
• Create Dashboard/central reports for project tracking and visualizing QoR/stats.
• Interface with RTL, Physical Design, Package Design, DFT and other teams to improve methodologies and efficiencies and drive resolution.
• Work with EDA tool vendors to evaluate new tools, solve bugs, improve usability.
