Job summary

Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, is hiring a Software Development Engineer to build cloud services that keep the fleet humming and connect robots to customer experiences and internal operations as we scale.

The ideal candidate will own end-to-end services, design scalable cloud architectures, and work across robotics, product, and operations teams while remaining hands-on in design and implementation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 3+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience working in a cloud based development and production environment such as AWS.
• Experience owning a service end to end: design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the cloud services that connect a growing fleet of robots to customer experiences and internal operations.
• Build operational telemetry ingestion pipelines that process high-frequency robot signals.
• Select technologies where the stack is undefined, document the decisions, and set patterns for a growing team.
• Join the on‑call rotation for the services you own and drive incident response.
• Work with science, engineering, and product teams to define requirements and operationalize new workflows.
