Technical Recruiter | Cloud & Infrastructure
Optomi, in partnership with an enterprise technology company, is seeking a highly capable Cloud Production Support Engineer to maintain and stabilize critical legacy middleware and integration systems while the organization transitions core applications to modern cloud platforms. This role plays a key part in ensuring business continuity during a large-scale modernization effort, focusing on keeping older platforms such as JBoss, WebLogic, TIBCO, and Kafka operational and secure. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands‑on experience supporting enterprise middleware environments, strong troubleshooting skills across Linux‑based systems, and a steady, reliable approach to sustaining legacy infrastructure throughout the company’s migration to Azure and GCP.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands‑on production support for legacy middleware platforms including JBoss, WebLogic, TIBCO, WebMethods, and Kafka.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents affecting application availability and performance across messaging and integration systems.
- Perform patching, configuration, and environment maintenance to ensure system stability and compliance.
- Monitor and analyze logs using tools like Splunk or AppDynamics to proactively identify and address issues.
- Collaborate with modernization teams to maintain system continuity during migration to Azure and GCP.
- Automate routine tasks through shell scripting or Terraform to improve operational efficiency.
- Document processes, fixes, and configuration changes to ensure long‑term maintainability of legacy environments.
Apply today if your background includes:
- Extensive years of experience supporting enterprise middleware and integration platforms in large, complex environments.
- Deep, hands‑on background with legacy technologies such as JBoss, WebLogic, TIBCO (BW/EMS), WebMethods, and Kafka.
- Proven history of keeping critical legacy systems stable — patching, tuning, upgrading, and troubleshooting production issues.
- Strong familiarity with Linux/Unix administration, networking, and performance optimization.
- Comfortable using tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, and GitHub for monitoring and version control.
- Some exposure to cloud or container environments (Azure, GCP, or Rancher) helpful but not required.
- Detail‑oriented, dependable, and self‑sufficient in resolving issues end‑to‑end.
