Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation invites students for a 10-week, 100% onsite Cloud Platforms and Architectures internship in Chantilly, VA; El Segundo, CA; or Colorado Springs, CO. You’ll work on cloud systems, DevOps, and containerization across DoD, IC, and civilian projects, gaining hands-on experience with Kubernetes and major cloud providers.

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a master's CS/engineering program, have a 3.0+ GPA, be eligible for a US government security clearance, and possess

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in a college/university pursuing a master’s degree in CS, engineering, or related field.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks in summer and return to a degree program afterward.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 and transcripts required.
• Software development experience with at least one major language (Python/Java/C/C++/Go/Rust).
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and DevOps tools such as Git/Jenkins/ArgoCD.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform software and hardware development for cloud-related rapid prototyping.
• Research and experiment with state-of-the-art software and hardware technologies.
• Manage Linux systems to provide SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS capabilities.
• Implement DevOps technologies to streamline development, testing, build, and deployment.
• Leverage cloud tools and platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Investigate bleeding-edge cloud technologies for future use by customers.
• Receive training and mentorship from cloud and software development experts.
• Learn about projects, tools, and technologies used across the enterprise.
