Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to help build and operate the world’s largest cloud infrastructure, focusing on compliance and governance using CloudTrail and Service Quotas. This role requires TS/SCI with polygraph and involves Linux, networking, and production systems design, with ownership of automation to deliver reliable services at scale for government customers.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or above, or CND (Certified Network Defender) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials).
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• Experience tools for automation (building, testing, releasing or monitoring).
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Solid foundation in Linux and networking fundamentals; hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Linux-based systems in large-scale distributed environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in system design and architecture; experience building and operating production systems.
• Experience deep-diving operational issues; leading post-mortem analysis to identify root causes and corrective actions.
