Wayve is seeking an Engineering Manager, Cloud Infrastructure in Sunnyvale. You will lead a Platform Engineering team responsible for the multi-cloud foundation that underpins the company’s software stack, balancing cost, security, and scalability as Wayve grows.

You will work with security and leadership to maintain governance and drive cross-team collaboration. This full-time role supports a hybrid office work model with equity as part of the package.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven engineering management experience.
• Strong roadmap planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience at scale (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar).
• Familiarity with Linux and container orchestration (Kubernetes or similar).
• Experience with Python is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Platform Engineering team with visibility across the engineering organization.
• Own the multi-cloud foundation roadmap and ensure scalable, secure infrastructure.
• Manage cost visibility and efficiency as cloud usage grows.
• Partner with Security on governance and compliance.
• Balance resourcing with business needs and keep processes lean.
• Hire and grow the team and foster a culture of collaboration and impact.
• Contribute to day-to-day software team operations and larger initiatives.
