Job summary

Ares Management seeks a Software Engineer to join the Cloud, DevOps, and Operations group. You will design, build, automate, and support cloud-based infrastructure powering critical services.

The ideal candidate has strong software engineering skills, hands-on cloud expertise, IaC, CI/CD, and platform operations experience, with a drive for automation-first solutions and platform reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting distributed applications and services.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps-focused delivery environments.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle from design through production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions, cloud infrastructure, and automation capabilities that support business and technology objectives.
• Build and manage cloud-native infrastructure leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application delivery and improve deployment reliability.
• Support enterprise platforms and applications through advanced Level 3 production support and incident resolution.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions for platform health and stability.
• Partner with development, architecture, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and platform resiliency initiatives.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and best practices to improve engineering capabilities.
