Job summary

IAMUS is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer with Go development and strong Linux skills to contribute to custom software components and open-source integration in a Big Data/Cloud context. The role emphasizes autonomous problem solving and collaboration with Architects, in a hybrid setting with 1–2 days per week at the Columbia, MD office.

Responsibilities include enhancing existing code, implementing infrastructure as code in AWS, and designing core architecture from prototype to production.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or Software Development (Go) with a related degree; or 7 years with a Master's; or 13 years with HS diploma.
• Must have experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes (or vendor flavor), Ansible, storage layers (Ceph, Rook, Longhorn, etc.)
• Experience with Go programming language.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, hosts, networks, security, and shell scripting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Hybrid work environment with 1-2 days/week in the Columbia, MD office.

Responsibilities

• Enhance, optimize, or increase robustness of existing code base as a systems integrator.
• Leverage infrastructure as code to define, build, and manage virtual infrastructure in the cloud.
• Design and implement core architecture for software from prototype to production.
• Other duties as assigned.
