Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer with AWS, Go, and Linux expertise. You will contribute to building and integrating software components, leveraging open‑source code, and meeting complex challenges with Big Data/Cloud tech.

The role is hybrid, requiring on‑site collaboration in Columbia, MD several days per week. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong systems integration skills, IaC know‑how, and the ability to work autonomously toward Architects’ strategic goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Platform Engineering or Go software development with related degree or 9 years with HS.
• Experience deploying infrastructure in AWS.
• Kubernetes experience and infrastructure as code.
• Solid Linux systems, networking and shell scripting skills.
• Strong problem solving and written/oral communication.
• Hybrid work in Columbia, MD with 1–2 days in office.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and design core architecture for software from prototype to production.
• Enhance and harden existing code base with opportunities for robustness.
• Define, build and manage cloud infrastructure using modern tooling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
