Job summary

Air Space Intelligence (ASI) is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer for the Civil Aviation team to build and operate production cloud infrastructure powering mission-critical aviation systems. You will ship infrastructure-as-code, work with Kubernetes, and contribute to deployment pipelines to enable fast, safe releases.

You will partner with backend, product, and platform engineers to improve observability, resilience, and uptime in a 24/7 environment, while tackling scale and reliability

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building and operating production-grade cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with AWS (preferred) or other cloud providers (GCP, Azure).
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Helm.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for reliable, frequent production releases.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalability.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Familiarity with production safety practices, including testing, rollout strategies, and rollback mechanisms.
• Experience operating and supporting 24/7 production systems.
• Ability to contribute to design reviews and architectural decisions.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across teams in a mission-critical environment.
• Exposure to regulated cloud environments (e.g., FedRAMP) and familiarity with progressive deployment techniques (e.g., canary releases).
• Exposure to high-availability systems (e.g., 'four nines' reliability).
• Proficient in leveraging modern LLM tools to accelerate development workflows and enhance code quality.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the cloud infrastructure powering mission-critical aviation systems in production.
• Shipping infrastructure-as-code, working with Kubernetes-based systems, and contributing to deployment pipelines.
• Improve observability and reliability to ensure 24/7 uptime.
• Collaborate with backend, product, and platform engineers to deploy services and respond to production challenges.
• Work on scaling distributed systems and building automation to reduce operational toil.
