Job summary

Sotalent is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, automate, and manage cloud-native infrastructure supporting scalable, secure delivery of applications. You will optimize Kubernetes environments, implement GitOps workflows, and build IaC using Terraform across cloud platforms.

The role emphasizes reliability, observability, security, and collaboration with development teams to improve deployment speed and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong experience managing production Kubernetes environments.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on with Argo CD, Flux or similar GitOps tools.
• Strong proficiency with Terraform for module development and state management.
• Knowledge of Helm package management for Kubernetes.
• Solid networking knowledge: DNS, load balancers, ingress, service mesh.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability practices.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize production Kubernetes environments across cloud platforms.
• Perform cluster upgrades, scaling, lifecycle management, and capacity planning.
• Ensure platform reliability, availability, and performance through monitoring and maintenance.
• Support multi-environment deployments while maintaining security standards.
• Design and maintain GitOps workflows and deployment configurations.
• Develop Terraform modules and automate infrastructure deployment to improve scalability.
• Collaborate with application teams to onboard services and optimize workflows.
• Create runbooks and technical documentation for operations.
