Job summary

The Boeing Company in Berkeley, MO is seeking a Cloud Platform Administrator (Mid-Level, Senior or Lead) to design and operate cloud platform services that host containerized and cloud-hosted solutions. You will help define platform standards for Kubernetes, container hosting, deployment automation, configuration management, and operational support.

The role emphasizes platform reliability, repeatability, scalability, and service enablement, with mentorship to junior engineers and collaboration

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cloud platform engineering and/or product management
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• 3+ years with GitLab, Azure DevOps and CI/CD workflows

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud platform services supporting Kubernetes, containers, ingress, storage integration, secrets management, and service connectivity
• Build reusable deployment patterns for COTS, OSS, and internally customized apps
• Develop automation for platform provisioning, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle support
• Manage cluster lifecycle activities including upgrades, node management, add-on management, observability, resilience, and capacity planning
• Support Kubernetes services (AKS, OpenShift, Tanzu) and partner with teams to onboard services
• Troubleshoot platform hosting, connectivity, and integration issues
• Improve deployment consistency using Helm, Git workflows, and Infrastructure as Code
• Establish and maintain platform documentation, standards, and support procedures
• Mentor junior engineers
