Job summary

Apple Inc. in the Seattle area is hiring a world-class Cloud Platform Engineer to own and deliver key components in a new platform powering iCloud, Siri, iTunes and related services.

You’ll design and operate hybrid cloud tooling using Terraform, Pulumi, Kubernetes, and Spinnaker, collaborating with internal teams to turn needs into robust infrastructure. You will write high-quality Go and other languages, create unit and integration tests, and document interfaces.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building enterprise platforms facilitating large-scale management of dynamic cloud resources.
• 5+ years of professional experience with the Go programming language.
• 5+ years of experience with at least one other modern programming language - Swift, TypeScript or Python
• 5+ years of writing high-quality, reliable code, including unit and integration tests, and maintaining clear and concise documentation.
• 5+ years of experience with Terraform or Pulumi or equivalent IaC tools.
• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver key components in a new cloud platform powering internal and public services.
• Build and operate hybrid cloud tooling using Terraform, Pulumi, Kubernetes, and Spinnaker.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and drive features and enhancements.
• Deliver engineering solutions with robust, high-performance distributed systems.
