Job summary

International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) is seeking a results-oriented engineer to build and operate reliable, scalable systems on OpenShift and Azure. You will implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Argo CD and Tekton, while supporting the observability stack with Prometheus, Loki, Grafana and ServiceNow.

You will coordinate incident response, drive root cause analyses, and push long-term corrective strategies.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate reliable, scalable systems using OpenShift and Azure.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Argo CD and Tekton.
• Support observability with metrics, logs, dashboards and alerting via Prometheus, Loki, Grafana and ServiceNow.
• Coordinate incident response, perform root cause analysis and drive long-term corrective actions.
• Identify reliability risks and reduce bottlenecks through automation and platform improvements.
• Collaborate with development, security, architecture, and platform engineering teams to deliver reliable services.
• Maintain technical docs and architecture diagrams; contribute to runbooks.

Job description

• Build and operate highly reliable and scalable systems using OpenShift and Azure
• Implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines, automation tooling, and infrastructure improvements using (GitHub Actions, Argo CD and Tekton)
• Supporting the observability stack, including metrics, logging, dashboards, and alerting using Prometheus, Loki, Grafana and ServiceNow
• Coordinate incident response efforts, assisting with root cause analysis, and drive long‑term corrective strategies.
• Identify reliability risks and create plans to eliminate operational bottlenecks through automation and engineering improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including development, security, architecture, and platform engineering, to deliver reliable services.
• Maintain and manage technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Work with the team to create operational runbooks
• Influence infrastructure and platform roadmap decisions through data, analysis, and best‑practice guidance.
• Able to use Agile Framework (Sprints and cadences) with the use of Jira and Confluence.
