Job summary

Northstratis seeks a Cloud Platform Engineer with AWS experience, Python or Go skills, and a solid Linux foundation. You will develop and integrate cloud components and open-source code to address complex problems, working autonomously while aligning with Architects on strategic goals in a hybrid Columbia, MD environment.

You will be a strong systems integrator, use infrastructure as code to define and manage cloud infrastructure, design core architecture from prototype to production, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or Software Development (Python or Go) with Bachelor's in related field; OR 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Experience with OS deployment and orchestration (kickstart, ansible, puppet, etc).
• Experience with deploying and managing Kubernetes (or vendor flavor of Kubernetes).
• Experience with container (Docker/Podman) build tooling, Kubernetes automation tools (e.g. Helm, Kustomize, Flux CD, etc.).
• Experience with programming in Python or Go and a strong Linux foundation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core architecture and capabilities for software from prototype to operational applications.
• Leverage infrastructure as code to define, build and manage virtual infrastructure in the cloud.
• Work autonomously to identify and solve problems while aligning with Architects on broader strategic goals.
