Job summary

VedaPointe, Inc. is seeking a hands-on DevOps/Cloud Platform Engineer to design and build cloud-native architectures. You will own end-to-end infrastructure from greenfield design through automation, deployment, and optimization to support healthtech initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years hands-on experience designing and building cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Experience owning cloud architectures end-to-end.
• Strong experience with DevOps toolchains: CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release automation.
• Proven expertise with infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture principles, incl. AWS Well-Architected Framework, with real-world implementation.
• Strong security mindset with IAM, network security, encryption, and least-privilege access.
• Experience building and operating containerized platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar.
• Strong documentation skills: architecture diagrams, runbooks, and docs-as-code.
• Experience supporting microservices-based architectures in production.
• Healthcare and/or life sciences experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure from the ground up for multiple teams.
• Partner with architects to define cloud-native architectures and translate designs into production environments.
• Own platform-level concerns: networking, IAM, observability, CI/CD, environment standardization.
• Apply DevOps principles to automate, test, and version-control infrastructure-as-code.
• Build scalable, secure cloud platforms serving healthcare and life sciences solutions.
• Serve as SME for end-to-end cloud architectures across AWS and managed Kubernetes.
• Evolve cloud playbook with reusable, well-documented patterns.
• Research new tech and provide evidence-based adoption recommendations.
• Design and implement security, high availability, disaster recovery, and data streaming solutions.
• Contribute to architectural discussions with practical implementation insights.
