Job summary

Northstrat is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer with experience in AWS, and programming skills in Python or Go, plus a strong Linux foundation to advance our cloud-native platforms.

You will design and integrate software components, and help scale infrastructure in a hybrid environment while autonomously identifying and solving problems. The role involves collaboration with Architects and a capable team, with occasional travel between Columbia, MD and San Antonio, TX as needed.

Qualifications

• AWS and cloud technology experience is required.
• Strong Python or Go programming skills.
• Solid Linux systems understanding and shell scripting.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and cloud tooling.
• Knowledge of containers and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Ability to work autonomously and solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core architecture and capabilities for software from prototype to production.
• Integrate open-source components and manage cloud-based infrastructure.
• Enhance and harden existing code bases for reliability and robustness.
• Collaborate with Architects and cross-functional teams in a hybrid environment.
