Job summary

Ares Management is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to join our Cloud, DevOps, and Operations team in Los Angeles. You will design, build, and automate cloud-based infrastructure powering critical services.

Ideal candidates have strong software development skills, hands-on cloud expertise, and a passion for resilient, automated environments, with Azure as a preferred platform and experience in enterprise settings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting distributed applications and services.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps delivery environments.
• Full-stack development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions, cloud infrastructure, and automation capabilities.
• Build and manage cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.
• Provide Level 3 production support and incident resolution.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability tooling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and backlog refinement.
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical decisions.
• Support disaster recovery and platform resiliency initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging tech to improve engineering capabilities.
