Overview

UBS is seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to support enterprise-scale cloud operations, automation, and cost optimization initiatives. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong Azure experience, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation skills, especially within a financial services environment.

Position: Contract Full-time (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipeline automation
• Perform system and configuration changes to improve automation and efficiency
• Manage and optimize cloud monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Lead application migrations between banking entities
• Handle certificate renewals and cleanup of legacy systems
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams on scalable solutions
• Drive FinOps initiatives to reduce Azure cloud spend
  
  

Requirement Qualifications

• Must-Have Skills:
• Azure Cloud infrastructure management
• FinOps / Cloud cost optimization
• Azure CosmosDB / SQL
• Terraform / IaC scripting
• PowerShell / Bash scripting
• Linux OS proficiency
• CI/CD pipeline automation
• Monitoring tools: Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana
• UBS banking environment familiarity (preferred)
• Grid DataSynapse experience (preferred)
• Experience:
• 7 8 years in cloud platform engineering, DevOps, or automation roles
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Financial or banking domain experience preferred
