Job summary

UDR Consulting is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer in Charleston, West Virginia to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure. You will write IaC, build CI/CD pipelines, and optimize system monitoring to ensure reliability and performance.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, scripting, containers, and networking, and are comfortable with security and compliance requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cloud infrastructure administration experience.
• 3+ years with containerization and orchestration.

Cloud Platform Engineer

UDR is seeking qualified candidates for a Cloud Platform Engineer opportunity in Charleston, West Virginia.

Description

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Write code to provision and manage cloud resources using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain automated testing and deployment workflows using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
• System Monitoring: Track platform health, analyze logs, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce access controls, identity management, and security standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Scripting: Proficiency in languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
• Containers: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Networking: Understanding of virtual private clouds (VPCs), DNS, and firewalls.

Cloud Platform Engineer must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in cloud infrastructure administration and automation.

Cloud Platform Engineer must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubermetes/AKS/EKS).

Cloud Platform Engineer must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or azure DevOps.

Cloud Platform Engineer must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience scripting in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Cloud Platform Engineer must have a minimum of three (3) years with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.
