Job summary

ECU Health seeks a senior cloud architect to lead strategy and design of cloud infrastructure, governance, and compliance. You will act as a technical advisor to leadership and drive cloud adoption and maturity across the organization.

You will oversee Cloud Financial Management, evaluate AI-enabled platforms, and mentor teams while coordinating with CyberSecurity to implement security for cloud platforms and develop roadmaps with Enterprise Architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree ora higher in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant work experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience with Public Cloud Infrastructure, Server Operating Systems, Data Protection technologies, DevOps-CI/CD, Monitoring/Alerting, and Cloud security.
• At least two advanced relevant certifications required or obtained within one year of start date (e.g., Microsoft AZ-305, AZ-400, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Terraform).
• Proven experience in design and implementation of complex Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps Platforms.
• Expert knowledge of scripting tools (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Experience with compliance frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, HiTrust).
• Experience leading project teams to design and implement new solutions.
• Mentor other engineers; independently motivated to learn.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and design of cloud infrastructure including governance and compliance.
• Develop and maintain IT architecture documentation and artifacts.
• Serve as technical advisor to leadership and drive cloud adoption and maturity.
• Lead Cloud Financial Management and cost governance initiatives.
• Evaluate AI-enabled engineering platforms, copilots, and automation to improve productivity and quality.
• Oversee IaC practices and mentor engineers and architects.
• Collaborate with CyberSecurity to implement security technologies for cloud platforms.
• Draft technology roadmaps with Enterprise Architecture and lead operations policies and best practices.
