Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and maintain scalable cloud platforms in AWS. You'll develop production-grade services using Node.js/TypeScript (C# is a plus) and manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities include building CI/CD pipelines, implementing observability with Datadog and CloudWatch, and shaping data ingestion using Kafka/Kinesis. Windows-focused candidates are not a fit for this role.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE.
• Strong production development experience with Node.js and TypeScript and/or C#.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
• Advanced Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
• Strong Linux experience; Windows-focused candidates are not a fit.
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes and/or ECS/EKS.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, including DNS, load balancing, VPCs, routing, and security groups.
• Experience with distributed systems, high-volume data, messaging, and real-time telemetry.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Hands-on production troubleshooting and observability experience; Datadog strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CDKTF, and/or AWS CDK.
• Develop production applications and platform services using Node.js and TypeScript; C# is a plus.
• Build and operate containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Implement monitoring and observability using Datadog, CloudWatch, Splunk, or similar tools.
• Design high-volume data ingestion and messaging solutions using Kafka, Kinesis, and pub/sub.
• Develop APIs and backend services supporting machine and telemetry data.
• Troubleshoot production issues across applications, infrastructure, networking, containers, and distributed systems.
• Perform root-cause analysis and contribute to reliability, scalability, and performance improvements.
• Create technical documentation and participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
