Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure / Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure and platform services. This hands-on role blends cloud expertise with production software development.

You will work with AWS, Terraform, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/ECS, and CI/CD, writing production code in Node.js/TypeScript and/or C#. Location options in Oak Brook, IL or Sioux Falls, SD with a focus on reliability and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong cloud infrastructure expertise with production software development experience.
• Experience designing multi-environment cloud platforms.
• Proficient in writing production-grade code in Node.js/TypeScript or C#.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Develop production software using Node.js/TypeScript and/or C#.
• Build reusable infrastructure with Terraform and IaC.
• Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS).
• Design cloud networking components including VPCs, DNS, load balancing, and security groups.
• Monitor production systems with observability tools and participate in incident response.
