Job summary

ServiceMax, a PTC company, seeks a Senior Cloud Operations Manager to lead secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for its commercial and FedRAMP product areas. The role reports to the ServiceMax leadership and collaborates with Cyber Security, IT, and product teams.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in cloud production environments, 3+ years with Docker/Kubernetes, and strong DevOps and AI/ML exposure. Hybrid work in San Ramon, CA is offered with competitive compensation and full benefits.

• Ability to commute to San Ramon office 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers responsible for designing, building, and operating secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for ServiceMax commercial and FedRAMP product areas.
• Partner with Cyber Security and compliance leaders to implement security standards (including FedRAMP controls) and drive effective incident response.
• Continuously improve operational processes, tooling, and on-call practices to increase team efficiency and sustainability.
• Coach and mentor engineers, set clear expectations, and foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
• Drive infrastructure-as-code standards and self-service automation (Terraform/Ansible) to improve consistency, auditability, and delivery speed.
• Own capacity planning, performance tuning, and cloud cost optimization (FinOps) for production workloads.
• Partner with Engineering to improve deployment and change management practices (CI/CD, release readiness, rollback strategies) to reduce operational risk.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success to prioritize reliability work and align on operational roadmaps.
• Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted operations to improve signal-to-noise, accelerate incident triage, and identify recurring issues through intelligent analysis.
