Job summary

Subway is hiring a Cloud Engineer, Network to design, implement, and support enterprise network and cloud connectivity across on‑premises, multi‑cloud, and hybrid environments. You will help transition network operations in‑house, handling next‑gen firewalls, SD‑WAN, cloud networking, and infrastructure automation.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Hands-on with Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS, Panorama) and GlobalProtect VPN.
• Production experience with SD-WAN (Silver Peak/Aruba EdgeConnect).
• Experience with Juniper and/or Cisco routing/switching; Mist Wireless.
• Strong Azure and AWS networking knowledge (VNets, ExpressRoute, Transit).
• Terraform modules for network provisioning and CI/CD provisioning.
• Familiar with AI-driven network tools and identity-based access policies.
• Knowledge of SAML, RADIUS, MFA and zero-trust networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network security infrastructure.
• Manage SD-WAN across distributed sites with QoS and path conditioning.
• Architect cloud networking in Azure and AWS; manage ACLs and security groups.
• Build and maintain Terraform modules for network provisioning.
• Implement and manage zero-trust microsegmentation and automated remediation.
• Evaluate AI-driven tools for monitoring and anomaly detection; support VPN and identity integrations.
• Lead change management for firewall, SD-WAN, VPN, and wireless changes; on-call escalation.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Cyber Security, and Infra teams; maintain network docs and diagrams.
