Job summary

Subway is seeking a Director of Network to lead strategy, architecture, and operational excellence of its enterprise network. You will own WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, ZTNA, DNS, and load balancing across corporate, cloud (Azure and AWS), and 37,000+ restaurant locations.

You’ll guide infrastructure-as-code adoption (Terraform), CI/CD for network config, and a blended team of FTEs and MSPs, while aligning network investments with business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years in IT infrastructure or network engineering with 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Experience with ZTNA, BGP/OSPF, VXLAN, Palo Alto PAN-OS, and SD-WAN in multi-site environments.
• Proven IaC/automation background using Terraform and cloud networking at scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Subway’s enterprise network strategy for WAN/LAN and cloud networking.
• Lead architecture of ZTNA, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, load balancing, and network security controls.
• Drive IaC-first culture, CI/CD pipelines, and automated drift remediation.
