Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer to join our team at a customer site in McLean, VA. The role focuses on modernizing physical and cloud networks, ensuring availability, performance, security compliance, and proactive operations while guiding the migration to the cloud.

This hands-on position requires 8+ years in network/transport, 4+ years in cloud networking, and experience with Cisco/Juniper devices.

Qualifications

Active security clearance with a polygraph.
8+ years of network/transport experience.
4+ years of cloud network design and maintenance.
Experience configuring Cisco, Juniper switches/routers/firewalls.
Experience with Linux networking (CentOS/Red Hat/Amazon Linux).

Responsibilities

Focus on Network Engineering and operation of existing infrastructure.
Coordinate maintenance, monitoring and upgrades across platforms (physical and cloud).
Research and implement system-wide network solutions to support customer goals.
Troubleshoot and resolve network media and components.
Monitor health and performance of the network and management software.
Develop a roadmap for capabilities, operations, and cloud migration.
