Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Cloud Network Architect to design and implement cloud network architectures and hybrid connectivity for cloud-hosted systems. You will develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code for repeatable deployments and support migration efforts.

The role requires coordinating with security and application teams to ensure availability, performance, and compliance, and performing advanced troubleshooting across cloud and on-prem networks.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; OR 4 years + Master's equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree with 7 years of relevant experience; OR 8 sem hours military coursework + 9 years.
• Associate degree + 9 years of experience; OR high school + 11 years.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud network architectures including segmentation, routing, ingress/egress, load balancing, and DNS patterns.
• Implement hybrid connectivity between on-prem and cloud environments and validate end-to-end connectivity.
• Enforce cloud security controls (security groups, NSGs, network ACLs, firewall policy integration) with security requirements.
• Develop and maintain IaC for cloud networking (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep) for repeatable deployments across environments.
• Plan and execute migration activities to move workloads to cloud systems and update IP/DNS plans.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting for complex cloud/hybrid issues and document root causes and fixes.
• Maintain cloud network diagrams, configuration baselines, change records, and runbooks.
