Job summary

Amentum is seeking a skilled Cloud Network Architect to design, implement, and support cloud network architectures and hybrid connectivity for cloud-hosted systems. You will develop IaC for cloud networking, coordinate with security and application teams, and support migrations and troubleshooting across cloud and on-prem environments.

Required are cloud networking expertise, experience with Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM Bicep, and strong collaboration across technical teams.

Qualifications

Master’s orBachelor’s degree with related field and several years of relevant experience.
Alternative: Associate’s degree with nine years of relevant experience.
High school diploma with eleven years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement cloud network architectures including segmentation, routing, ingress/egress patterns, load balancing, and name resolution patterns.
Implement hybrid connectivity between on-prem and cloud environments and validate end-to-end connectivity.
Implement network security controls in cloud environments coordinating with security requirements.
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code for cloud networking (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep) and support repeatable deployments.
Plan and execute migration network activities to move workloads to cloud systems.
Perform advanced troubleshooting for complex cloud/hybrid issues and document root cause and corrective actions.
Maintain cloud network diagrams, configuration baselines, and runbooks.
