Job summary

Amentum seeks a skilled cloud network engineer to design and implement cloud network architectures, including segmentation, routing, ingress/egress patterns, and hybrid connectivity, with a strong focus on IaC deployments.

You will plan migrations, implement security controls, maintain runbooks and diagrams, and collaborate with security personnel and application teams to ensure availability, performance, and compliance for cloud and on‑prem environments. Requires TS/SCI w/poly clearance.

Qualifications

Design and implement secure cloud network architectures.
Experience with IaC for multi‑environment deployments.
Strong knowledge of cloud security controls and routing.
Ability to plan migrations from on‑prem to cloud.

Responsibilities

Design and implement cloud network architectures including segmentation, routing, ingress/egress patterns, load balancing, and name resolution patterns.
Implement hybrid connectivity between on‑prem and cloud environments and validate end‑to‑end connectivity.
Implement network security controls in cloud environments in coordination with security requirements.
Develop and maintain IaC for cloud networking and support repeatable deployments across environments.
Plan and execute migration network activities to support moving workloads to cloud systems.
Perform advanced troubleshooting for complex cloud/hybrid issues and document root cause and corrective actions.
Maintain cloud network diagrams, configuration baselines, change records, and runbooks.
