Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Virginia is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to support the scale and reliability of our data center networks. You will work with minimal supervision, coordinate with engineers and managers, and help automate and scale network operations.

Responsibilities include handling tickets, coordinating with stakeholders, and assisting in migration and deployment of new hardware. A strong foundation in networking and Linux is required, along with ability to lift up to 40

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
• Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
• Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
• Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
• Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
