Karsun Solutions seeks an exceptional Lead Solution Architect to drive modernization from legacy systems to cloud-native, microservices-based solutions. You will articulate architectures, lead multi-year roadmaps, and collaborate with SMEs, SRE managers, data architects, and business leaders.

The role blends strategic vision with hands-on coding, including ML model design, API-first patterns, DevSecOps, and AI-assisted development. Expect collaboration across federal projects and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field.
• 15+ years of software architecture and development experience with proven track record leading application modernization initiatives.
• 7+ years designing and implementing microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven systems at enterprise scale.
• 5+ years cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including containers, serverless, and cloud-native development.
• Strong coding skills in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or Go.
• Proven ability to create and articulate technical visions and roadmaps with stakeholder buy-in.
• Expert knowledge of API design, integration patterns, and security/compliance (FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST).

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and multi-year roadmap for modernization and cloud-native architectures.
• Lead design and implementation of modern architectures using microservices, API-first design, and containers.
• Design, build, and deploy ML models and data pipelines with PyTorch or TensorFlow, emphasizing MLOps.
• Develop business applications using low-code tools, AI, and automation with rapid delivery.
• Drive consensus across stakeholders and mentor architects and engineers to maintain architectural integrity.
