Karsun Solutions is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to drive application modernization, cloud-native architecture, and modern software practices for transforming legacy systems into scalable microservices with AI/ML integration.

The ideal candidate will balance strategic thinking with hands-on coding, collaborate with SRE, data, and business SMEs, and evangelize modern development methodologies across teams in a US government context.

Qualifications

15+ years of software architecture and development experience.
7+ years designing and implementing microservices, REST APIs, event-driven systems at scale.
5+ years cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with containers.
Strong coding skills in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or Go.
Ability to translate complex concepts for business and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Define and articulate the technical vision and multi-year roadmap.
Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native architectures with microservices and API-first design.
Develop and deploy ML models and data pipelines leveraging Python and MLOps principles.
Guide modernization from legacy systems to cloud-native, microservices-based solutions.
Provide hands-on technical leadership with proofs-of-concept and demos.
Champion AI-assisted development tools to improve SDLC productivity.
Establish security architecture aligning with federal requirements (FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST).
